About Me

About A Galloway Jewelry

I'm Ann, a Colorado silversmith working to create pieces that reflect the beauty of our world. I hope that when you wear my jewelry you connect with that beauty and feel it inside yourself and on your body.

I hand create each piece using traditional jeweler's tools. I generate the idea, and then use my saw, files, drills, hammers, oxygen/propane torch and eyes and brain to bring it to life. Jewelry lets me use my creativity and urge toward perfectionism to make jewelry that you will feel good about wearing.

I started making jewelry when my dear friend Phyllis, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday, taught me how to make jump rings; soldering them with a butaine torch in her kitchen.  I took off from there making what struck my fancy, learning the skills (and purchasing the tools!) I needed to make them.  Her generosity has been a tremendous gift.
