Green Aventurine Ring

This sterling silver ring is set with a translucent green aventurine.  The 4 mm wide floral band is size 8.75. It cannot be resized. The stone setting is 1/2" across.  I will ship in 1-3 business days.

Aventurine is in the quartz family of minerals and is translucent and shiny. The sparkly appearance is know as "aventurescence".  Until the 19th Century, aventurine was call the "stone of the Amazons", as the deposits in Brazil were thought to have supplied the jewels of Amazon warrior queens.  

Clean this gemstone with a soft cloth or brush. Keep it away from household chemicals. Polish the sterling silver with jewelry polishing cloth.
